Our Story

God's Coalition Co-Founders- Jim and Dorothy Cissell

During our lives together (25 years) we have received many of God's blessings through our belief that only through the resurrection of Christ did we receive salvation. Recently we have found a home for fellowship with those in the Christian Assembly (Foursquare Church) in Missoula, Montana.

Approximately two years ago, the company that Dorothy was working for designed emergency communication software similar to that mentioned in our site. One morning as she was getting ready for work and His plan was revealed to her;

1 - Find believers willing to work together and help his children in their time of need.
2 - Create a forum using software to assist in their daily lives and in time of emergencies.
3 - Turn no anyone away who needs help.
4 - Give back as you have received.

At first we were a little hesitant. I mean, why would God give us such a huge mission? Finding enough common ground in His children that they can and will work together. We read scripture and walk in the path he has set for us but aren't ministers. Our faith is unyielding but what qualified us to run a ministry of this magnitude? At first our thoughts were that God really has his work cut out for him. Then we realized every day with every challenge it possessed He gave us the gifts that complimented each other in preparation for this charge. Dorothy is an independent graphic artist with over 15 years of marketing, marketing design, web design, software support, customer service and upper management experience. For the last thirteen years, I have been employed as the Operations Director for a magazine wholesaler who does over 30 million a year in sales. My responsibilities include every aspect of getting the products to the customer, customer service, contract negotiations and yearly line budgets ranging from $10,000 to .5 million. Our other Board member, Tammy, has fifteen plus years experience in corporate and not for profit accounting, human resources and paralegal work.

Moving forward we remind ourselves that God is not a respecter of a persons title nor position and often uses those "least likely" to make his plan work. We believe that He will guide us in our walk, connect us with those who believe as we do, and provide the financial means to make it happen.

We believe that God, in his unique and anointed way, has lead you to this site and is paving the way for God's Coalition.
